These terms cover how you order food from Thérèze Fritay through therezefritay.com. We've written them in plain language because you're a customer placing a food order, not signing a mortgage. If anything's unclear, just call or email us — contacts are at the bottom.
1. Who we are
therezefritay.com is operated by Thereze's Fritay L.L.C., a Minnesota Limited Liability Company doing business as Thereze Fritay. We're an authentic Haitian home kitchen based in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, making traditional home-cooked Haitian food for Saturday pickup and (when offered) delivery in the Twin Cities area.
2. Orders
- All orders are pre-order. You order ahead and pick up on the Saturday you selected.
- We may cancel an order — with a full refund — if a key ingredient is unavailable, if there's an operational issue on our end, or if a customer has a pattern of no-shows.
- You're responsible for picking the pickup time you can actually make.
- Once we've started preparing your food, the order is non-refundable unless we're at fault.
- We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
3. Payment
- We accept Zelle, Cash App, PayPal, or cash at pickup.
- We do not store credit card information. For digital methods, you send the transfer directly — please put the order number in the memo so we can match it.
- If a payment is disputed or reversed, your order may be delayed or cancelled.
4. Pickup and delivery
- Pickup location is confirmed at checkout — in Coon Rapids, MN.
- Please arrive within the pickup window you selected.
- Orders not picked up by the end of service hours are no-shows. The food may be donated or discarded — we can't hold it past closing.
- Where we offer delivery, there's an additional fee, and it's your responsibility to give us an accurate address.
5. Food allergies and dietary concerns
- Our kitchen handles common allergens: dairy, gluten, soy, shellfish, peanuts, and tree nuts.
- We cannot guarantee cross-contamination-free preparation.
- If you have a severe allergy, please do not order.
- A dish marked "Spicy" uses scotch bonnet peppers — assume real heat.
6. Communications
- By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS messages about your order (confirmations, ready notifications, refund or change updates).
- By providing your email, you consent to transactional emails about your orders.
- We do not send marketing messages without separate, explicit opt-in.
- Standard message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any SMS to opt out, or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
7. Privacy
We collect your name, phone, email, pickup or delivery address, and your order history. We don't sell or share your information with third parties for marketing. We use Resend (email delivery) and Twilio (SMS delivery) as service providers; they handle your data on our behalf. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
Recipes, menu names, photos, and branding — including Thérèze Fritay and Vrè Gou Lakay — are the property of the operator. If you share a review or a photo of your food with us, we may repost it on our site or social media (and we'll credit you where we can).
9. Warranties and liability
- We work hard to make every plate well, but food prep involves real-world variability.
- To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.
- For food safety concerns, contact us within 24 hours of pickup.
10. Disputes
- Step one: contact us. Email [email protected] or call 347-945-9105. We try to resolve everything directly.
- If we can't resolve a dispute, these terms are governed by Minnesota law.
- Venue: the courts of Hennepin County, Minnesota.
- To the extent permitted by law, you and we agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to bring a class action.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
